2008 February CIMIT Cleveland Clinic Visit
Feb 7, 2008
Background and Proposed Agenda
Dear "CIMIT-ORF and Beyond Team",
Cleveland Clinic is planning to build a large number of operating rooms and they are asking our advice (for money, of course). We will be offering a special edition of the ORF lecture plus significant glimpses of the next 5 years for 11 members of their design team. They have all disciplines represented, hence, the diverse day. Their three goals are:
1. Address immediate issues with our current OR infrastructure as it relates to imaging and informatics 2. Gain insight into key decisions that will impact our long term strategy as it relates to our OR infrastructure on an enterprise lever
3. Understand how technology might be applied in the future to anesthesia, surgical and nursing care in the peri-op environment.
I have suggested the following schedule without consulting you so please let me know what shifting of schedules or substitutions need to be made. Specifically the proposed agenda for the visit on Thursday February 7, 2008 from 7 AM to 3 PM is:
